The Colombian Amazon must be on your travel bucket list!

My Travel Experience

When I visited Leticia, I saw pink dolphins and walked through the jungle. I used to think the Amazon was dangerous, but it was calm and beautiful. If you go there, you will have to take a boat—you don’t have to use cars. You must not throw garbage into the river, since you can hurt the animals. You would like the peace, the sounds of birds, and the friendly people. If we protect nature, the jungle stays alive for everyone to enjoy.

Where to Go (Places to visit)

If you visit the Amazon, you must go to Monkey Island and Amacayacu National Park.

When I went there, I saw monkeys jumping around—you must not feed them, because you can hurt the animals. You have to take care of nature and look around to enjoy the view.

In Amacayacu, I used to walk with guides. You don’t have to explore alone; you can set off on a boat and get close to pink dolphins. You would like the calm river and green jungle.

If we protect nature, animals stay safe, and visitors will want to go back again.

What To Do (Activities)

In the Colombian Amazon, there are many things you can do! You must take a boat ride to explore the river and see pink dolphins. You should try fishing with locals—if you catch a fish, they will teach you how to cook it.

Furthermore, you have to go on a jungle walk to watch animals and learn about plants. If you listen carefully, you can hear birds everywhere.

You would like visiting local craft markets; if you buy handmade items, you help indigenous families. If travelers respect nature, the Amazon stays beautiful forever.
